Desalination

Desalination (RO- Technology)

Desalination Approximately 97.5% of the world’s available water reserves consist of sea water containing salt, which is therefore undrinkable. Many countries of the world are suffering from an acute water shortage. Accordingly, the desalination of sea – and brackish water has gained enormously in importance and is now a technically and economically recognized method of obtaining clean drinking water and fresh water for industrial operations.

AES offers optimized, tailor-made solutions for both the production of drinking water and industrial desalination.

Following processes are employed :

Reverse osmosis

Thermal desalination

  • Multi-effect distillation
  • Mechanical vapour compression
  • Thermal vapour compression
  • Multi-stage flash
